IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino acid modified analog of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) engineered with an arginine substitution at position 3 (Arg3) and a 13-amino acid N-terminal extension peptide. These structural modifications significantly reduce binding affinity to IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs), resulting in a 2-3x increase in biological potency compared to native IGF-1.
